My vehicle broke down after picking up cats at the clinic I had TNRed and running to help trap an injured possum. I got caught in a ditch that snagged the exhaust pipe hard on the road where the possum was hiding. After setting the trap and leaving to grab dinner, I smelled something burning. I pulled over, realized it was my car, and decided to head home. That's when I heard a snap and an explosion, followed by grinding. The suspension and exhaust snapped, and the heat and rubbing from it snapping popped the back tire. The back end is on the floor, the exhaust is broken, the tire and rim are done, and the car is not drivable. I was towed home and am now without a vehicle for rescues, TNRs, or animals in need.
Unfortunately, this is the worst timing, especially with major health concerns, appointments, and colonies needing TNR before more babies pop up. I am over my head and can use the help back now to continue helping the animals and people who rely on me as everything I do is out of pocket. I simply can't take this on at the moment. Thank you for reading my story and for any support you can give. Every little bit helps me get back on the road to continue my rescue work.
