Help Repair Kathy's Historic House

Donation protected
Kathy, my longtime friend, has lived in an incredible Victorian in Clear Lake, Washington for 43 years. This isn’t just any house—it’s the oldest home in Clear Lake, built from old growth cedar around 1890. Over the decades, Kathy has poured her heart into maintaining and repairing this historic treasure, but time and the elements have taken their toll. The house is showing its age, and urgent repairs are needed to keep it standing strong.

The roof is leaking, and the primary source of heat is an old wood stove. Work is already underway to repair the roof, and we’re hoping to upgrade the heating system to a modern heat pump. Beyond that, the cedar siding, septic system, bathroom, and windows all need attention to ensure the house remains safe, dry, and comfortable. These repairs will not only preserve a piece of local history, but also help Kathy continue living in the home she loves so much.

This spooky historic home still has stories to tell! For more about Kathy and her amazing old house, check out the feature article in the October Concrete Herald Newspaper. Concrete-herald.com is the link or check out the Concrete Herald Facebook page.

Any financial help you can offer will be very much appreciated and carefully spent. Kathy is a kind and generous person, always welcoming friends and neighbors into her home. With your support, we hope to fix as much as possible this season, preserve this historic house, and keep Kathy warm and thriving for years to come.
