I am the only transportation for my family, and we are experiencing serious health issues that require frequent trips to Cleveland for health care. My car needs repairs, and while a mechanic will do the work without charging labor, the used parts are still a significant expense.

Frequent medical trips are necessary for treatment of my son's rare autoimmune disease. I need my car for medical and other necessary trips. The car repairs would relieve my fear every time I went somewhere of the ball joint or spindle breaking. It's very stressful, and I recently had a spindle break in two pieces. I was able to borrow money from my bank for that repair, but I can't keep doing that.

As uncomfortable as it is, I need to ask for help at this time. I believe at this time in history it is more important than ever to build community. Monetary help is just one part of community. Cooking for others, helping with transportation, or just talking to someone can change their life. This car repair will enable us to continue in a research trial to hopefully offer relief for my son. It will allow me to help others who need rides to court or recovery meetings or treatment. I know that as a community we can make our lives easier and richer.
