Hey Y’all. This was super unexpected and is still really hard to stomach to be honest. Last night after playing a gig, I packed up my instrument in the case, picked it up, and began walking to my car when the case handle snapped, dropping the case to the ground with my banjo inside it. The impact split the neck of my one-of-a-kind banjo in half, and I’m honestly devastated. This banjo has been with me through countless performances and has become a huge part of my journey as a musician and social media influencer in our community.
I’m starting this GoFundMe to try and hire the best luthier I can get a hold of to repair this banjo. Some of the funds will also be going towards a Calton or Hoffee hardshell case to ensure protection in the future, and to help me get a backup instrument so I can keep performing while repairs are underway. Every bit of support will help me get back to sharing music with you all and continue doing what I love.
If you feel led to help me out, I appreciate everything so much. If you can’t donate and still want to help, please tell your friends and share this GoFundMe, watch some of my TikTok videos (all funds earned are contributed to repairs), or most importantly, say a prayer for me. I miss this banjo already as we’ve spent a lot of time together and I’ve learned a lot with it. Thank you for helping in whatever way possible.
