Anyone who knows me knows that I've been through a lot with cars, and that my first Subaru saved my life in a double rollover crash in 2014. In 2015, I bought my beloved Impreza, which I just paid off, but it is now dying on me. It needs about $9,000 worth of work, including a head gasket, which far exceeds the monetary value of the car. I have been trying to rebuild my life and credit, pay off debts, and save up to move back to Minnesota, and I just can't afford to replace my car. I rely on this car for work and I was counting on it to get me back home in the spring, so I am desperate for a reliable car that I can count on. I am a nanny and half of my job is driving, so a good car is of utmost importance.

I remember the days when you could get a good used car for a couple thousand dollars, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. I deeply appreciate any help. Thank you all so much.
