Help Reopen The Blossom Program Microschool

My name is Farren, and I’m a mom of two amazing kids—one with autism and one with ADHD. Like so many parents, I watched my children struggle in a public school system that just couldn’t meet their unique needs. I knew they deserved better, so I made the difficult decision to pull them out and find a new path. Around the same time, I began working for a neighbor who ran a nonprofit dedicated to education. She saw the need for something different too, and together, we started a microschool right out of her house. What began as a small, hopeful experiment quickly grew into something special. We found a building, hired teachers, and opened the first microschool in Biloxi, MS. I poured my heart into creating a program where every child is seen, celebrated, and supported—especially those who have never quite fit into the traditional system. Our students, many with special needs, finally had a place to thrive. The community rallied around us, and for the first time, these kids were excited to learn.

But just as we were gaining momentum, we unexpectedly lost our building due to circumstances beyond our control. Our teachers, families, and students were left without the support they had come to rely on. Despite this setback, our teachers and families have stayed with us because they believe in what we’re building. Now, we need your help to start again. Funds raised will go directly toward securing a new location and paying our dedicated teachers, so we can continue providing a safe, joyful, and individualized education for kids who need it most.

The Blossom Program works. It is the alternative to the one size fits all education model we see in public school. Each child is seen as an individual and celebrated for that. We take pride in not just teaching our students academics but also social-emotional skills. Learning becomes fun and hands on for these kids. For donors, this is an opportunity to help build something that can change the lives of so many kids and their families.
