Help Reopen Six Degrees: Affordable Community Acupuncture

Healing should be accessible to everyone.

Founder Susanda Yee, a community acupuncturist with over 27 years of experience, created Canada’s first community acupuncture clinic in 2007.

Her vision was different. Instead of treating people in isolation, she created a shared healing space where people could receive acupuncture together at a price they could afford.

Over time, Six Degrees became more than a clinic. It became a community.

For 13 years, Six Degrees supported over 5,000 people across Toronto, offering care for chronic pain, anxiety, stress, and overall wellbeing in a way that was both accessible and deeply human.

We’re living in a time where so many people are overwhelmed. Stress, anxiety, and burnout have become part of everyday life, and for many, accessing consistent care still feels out of reach.

Six Degrees was built to change that.

Now, we’re reopening in Kensington Market to once again offer a space where people can slow down, regulate their nervous systems, and experience healing together.

Community acupuncture is a shared healing experience. Instead of private treatment rooms, people receive acupuncture in a calm, collective space — resting in recliners while the practitioner moves between clients.

There’s something powerful about that. Being in a room where others are also resting, healing, and letting go creates a sense of connection that can’t be replicated alone. It’s collective care.

And because treatments are offered on a sliding scale, people can come consistently, which is where the healing happens.

We are reopening at 88 Nassau Street in Kensington Market. A neighbourhood rooted in community, culture, and connection.

This new chapter will focus on affordable community acupuncture ($40–$70), ear acupuncture treatments ($20), and creating a smaller, more intimate space for nervous system regulation, rest, and healing.

Our goal is to raise $30,000 to bring this space to life. Your support will help cover staff wages, operating expenses, renovations, supplies, and outreach ensuring we can open our doors and keep care accessible to those who need it most.

Six Degrees is a place where people can find relief, feel connected, and access care without financial barriers.

If this resonates with you, you can donate, share this campaign, or help us spread the word. Every bit of support brings us closer to reopening.

Six Degrees was built on connection. And bringing it back will take a community.

Thank you for being part of it.
