Help Us Reopen Cookskitchn — A Community Restaurant Fighting to Recover
For years, Cookskitchn has served our community with good food, good energy, and a family atmosphere. Cookskitchn has always been more than a restaurant — it’s been a place people rely on.
Recently, Cookskitchn was forced to close by the state due to a past balance that became unmanageable during a difficult financial period. Like many small businesses, we were hit with rising costs, unexpected repairs, and slow seasons. We had to allocate funds toward immediate operating expenses just to stay open, which unfortunately left us short when it came time to address the state balance.
We were not avoiding anything — we were simply trying to keep our staff working, keep the lights on, and keep serving our customers.
The shutdown happened suddenly. The state:
• Changed our locks
• Forced us to discard all our food
• Posted a large notice on our windows
• Began the process of auctioning our equipment
We were told that if we can raise $15,000, we can stop the auction, reinstate our plan, and reopen.
Your support will allow us to:
• Prevent the auction of our equipment
• Reopen our doors
• Bring our staff back
• Restock inventory
• Get Cookskitchn back to serving the community
Cookskitchn is our life’s work, and this community has always been our heart. This setback was devastating, but we believe we can overcome it — with help from the people who have supported us since day one.
Any Amount Helps…
Whether you donate or simply share, your support means everything to us.
Thank you for helping us fight to reopen Cookskitchn.
