Help Renzo Walk Again – Support Benjamin’s Cane Corso

Hello everyone,

My name is Benjamin Cortes, and I’m reaching out from San Fernando, California, with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit. I want to tell you about Renzo, my loyal and loving Cane Corso, who has been by my side since he was just a tiny 6-week-old pup.

Renzo has grown into a gentle giant — protective, affectionate, and an irreplaceable part of our family. He’s been with us through life’s ups and downs, always there with his warm eyes and steady presence. But last weekend, everything changed. Renzo suffered a serious injury to his back leg and now can't put any weight on it at all.

After an urgent trip to the vet, I received the devastating news: Renzo has torn his cruciate ligament and needs immediate surgery to walk again. While I do have pet insurance, unfortunately, it only covers a portion of the costs. The total expense of the surgery, follow-up care, and physical therapy goes far beyond what I can manage on my own right now.

As someone who has always tried to help others, asking for help doesn’t come easy — but for Renzo, I’ll do anything. He’s only 4 years old and has so much life, love, and tail wags left to give.
