Help Renne Get Life-Changing Vitiligo Treatment Abroad

Hi, my name is Gaby Gomar, and I’m reaching out with love and hope on behalf of my sister, Renne Gomar.

Renne is a devoted teacher, a loving single mom to a bright and beautiful 5-year-old daughter, and one of the strongest women I know. She lives in Guatemala, where she’s spent years pouring her heart into helping others learn and grow—often while putting her own needs aside.

For years, Renne has lived with vitiligo, a condition that causes the skin to lose its pigment in patches. While vitiligo may seem like a surface condition, it deeply affects Renne’s confidence, emotional well-being, and self-image. And as time passes, the vitiligo continues to advance, spreading to new areas and increasing the emotional toll.

Recently, we discovered a specialized medical program abroad that offers customized care for people living with vitiligo. This includes a biopsy, an in-person consultation, and a long-term treatment plan with medication she will continue to use at home for 18–24 months.

This is a life-changing opportunity for Renne—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally. However, as a single mother and teacher, the cost of travel, treatment, and time away from work is simply beyond her means.

To ensure her safety and comfort, Renne will be traveling with a trusted adult who can accompany her and assist throughout the process. That’s why our fundraising goal includes travel and lodging expenses for both of them.
