In May of 2018 ReNita, her husband Josh and their daughter, Audyn were excited for new fresh start as they moved to South Dakota. Josh was planning on going to grad school for physical therapy. A few months later, they found out they were expecting a baby boy. Everett Blake was born in April of 2019. A few weeks later, ReNita noticed she had a lump in her breast. She had a biopsy done on July 17, 2019. It was the very next day that she received the news no one ever wants to hear. It was in fact cancer. She has invasive ductal carcinoma. It is fast growing and recommended that she gets a double mastectomy. It may not require radiation, but with probable chemotherapy. On August 7th, ReNita will undergo double mastectomy and breast reconstruction surgery.
ReNita has a very long road ahead, but she knows that she has got this with our help and support. Her diagnosis has forced her quit her job all while Josh is still going to school full time and they have two children under two years old.
