Help Reni Recover

Our brother is the guy that lights up the room. The one everyone wants to hug or laugh at his sometimes inappropriate comments. He is a giver and the first one to hand you his drink at a party. An amazing father and husband doesn’t begin to describe him. Whether he is complimenting his wife or throwing the kids in the air his energy is contagious. His wife compliments his personality perfectly with their witty ways and big smiles. They have two beautiful and perfect children that will grow up with the humor and loving ways of their dad and mom.
His problems started in April of this year in Elko, Nevada where he developed pneumonia and was air lifted to Salt Lake City. They drained 2 liters of fluid from his lungs and he was very lucky to leave with his life. After the pneumonia Reni and Myranda’s goal was to move back to Idaho to be closer to family. The hard worker he is went right back to work to work towards that goal.
Then on Friday October 25th Reni woke up feeling dizzy and confused with an excruciating headache. Reni had suffered from a mini stroke and was flown to Salt Lake City for further care. After multiple tests they discovered he had a tear in a blood vessel in the neck which formed blood clots. The stroke was caused by one of the clots dislodging and blocking a blood vessel in the brain. They are currently monitoring him in the ICU on blood thinners. Knowing that he has continued to have clots present in the neck and that he suffered from an ischemic stroke, Reni will need to be on blood thinners for the next 90 days. He will be unable to work during this time. His dizziness, headaches, and imbalance also require that he has physical, occupational, and speech therapy. He will need 24hr care until he regains his balance and is able to walk and preform his activities of daily living independently, due to his high risk of falling and being on blood thinners. Myranda will be his primary care giver and thus will not be able to work outside the home.
As the sole provider for his young family this makes things extremely difficult. When Reni is discharged he will come back up to Idaho for family support. Reni and Myranda would be the first people to open their door to anyone in need. I pray for him to be able to recover and once again be the care free hard working man he is. If you could please help contribute to medical bills and family needs it would be immensely appreciated.
