This is my friend Renee.
For as long as I’ve known her she has always been in the center of hospitality - from 23 years ago of working together behind the bar, to pursuing her passion as a Chef. She has always created a space for love, relief, and joy and just 8 years ago, she met the love of her life. His name is Noah, and he is the center of her world.
Today, my friend is going through one of the toughest periods of her life. She’s been diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer and is currently going through lifesaving treatments to be freed of this wretched disease. Her current chemotherapy regimen is the most aggressive plan known to breast cancer. Chemotherapy will be followed by surgery then radiation. This regimen will not allow Renee to work fully for a year doing what she loves most, being the Chef for her new growing business. Her close friends, neighbors and family are doing their best to help with immediate care and emotional support for Noah and Renee’s spirit and well being. I’m reaching out to my friends and to those who love and know Renee to contribute in our efforts to aid in her healing.
I'm creating this GFM to raise money so she can focus on her healing and help lessen the anguish associated with this disease. The funds raised will help contribute to medical fees, her housing expenses and alleviate the stress of financial burdens during this time. The funds raised will also allow her to focus on her loving energy and care for Noah and her mother Janet, who has also been diagnosed with breast cancer only two weeks before Renee. They have different cancers but are going through this stressful time together while emotionally supporting each other and Noah. Janet is Noah's love as his Grandmother who takes care of him every single week.
There is no greater fear a child goes through, than when their Mother (or Father), and Grandmother have been diagnosed with a disease like cancer.
Will you join me on this venture and help a friend beat this disease so she can continue being a wonderful, strong, loving mother, daughter, and a fierce and loving soul to us all?
