Help Renee walk
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Renee. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2008 when I was 19 years old.
For several years, I was having virtually constant flare-ups. Ultimately, I came away with permanent damage to one of my eyes and weakness on my right side.
I have been blessed to be able to keep working and enjoying my life, teaching, singing and being with those I love. Unfortunately, the weakness on my right side has progressed to foot drop and struggles walking. This has been a huge challenge whenever walking is required. I trip, fall and struggle daily to keep up with my students. A few weeks ago, I tripped and ended up with a concussion.
In February, I was approved for a medical device called Bioness.
Bioness combats foot drop by sending electrical impulses as I walk.
Unfortunately, this medical device is very costly. I have managed to get the cost lowered to about $4500.
I would be so grateful for any contributions to the cause. I know I likely won't reach my full goal, but anything helps. Thank you for helping me walk safely and continue working!
