Hello! My name is Renee, and as some of you may already know, I am a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October of 2021, and I was officially given the amazing news that I’m cancer free as of October 2023. Although I have beat cancer, I’m still grappling with the effects of the harsh treatment. The most detrimental effect is the ramifications chemotherapy had on my mouth. Between the harsh medication, radiation, and constant vomiting, I am left with severe tooth & jaw bone decay. This has caused many sleepless nights as I lie awake in pain. I can no longer enjoy dining with family because my teeth are loose, and chipping. This has taken a huge toll on my physical, and mental health.

Because my medical, and dental insurances are separate, the out of pocket maximum I hit due to cancer treatments/follow ups, does no good for the dental care I need. After numerous consultations with dental offices in the city, I’ve been quoted anywhere between $20-35,000 for a full repair of the damage my cancer treatment has caused me. My dental issues will not cover any of this, and I’m left with very few options.
