Help My Mom Heal From Cancer Forever

Hello dear friends and family,

 

I'm hosting this GoFundMe for my incredible mom Renee.

 

If you have had the blessing of knowing her, then you likely love her dearly and have been touched by her kindness in your life at some point.

 

She is notorious for extending herself to those around her.

 

She may have shown up and packed your whole house for your move singlehandedly, helped you achieve your dreams with either financial support or unwavering belief in your capabilities (Likely both), if she's come to your house for dinner you've probably found her at your kitchen sink doing your dishes.

 

This woman, my mother, has lived her whole life for others.

 

Some may say (me) that she is long over due to know that she doesn't have to clean our house or carry our dreams over hers to be loved.

 

She has lived through more trauma than is statistically bearable for a human.

 

And her body has responded to her inner and outer environment with cancer twice now. She has no genetic predisposition to breast cancer. She has been tested for it. Some of you may remember she first had cancer in 2003. And just a couple of months ago cancer returned in her other breast as well.

 

She immediately had the tumor biopsied and then went in for a full mastectomy. In hindsight we wish we could have taken a pause to learn how to minimize the risk of metastasis caused by the surgery itself.

There is actually quite a lot of research on the positive effects of aspirin before surgery to minimize the spread and this was not even recommended.

 

Also, breast cancer cells can remain after a mastectomy, chemotherapy or radiation. They do not kill cancer stem cells.

 

So while chemo and radiation may be poisons to keep in your arsenal with much consideration and immune support first, I want my mom to be able to get access to the most knowledgable oncologists, integrative cancer doctors and healing therapies available.

 

We are not going to sleep walk through the status quo of cancer care in the United States.

 

When the oncologist told my mom she recommended chemotherapy and radiation my mom looked at me and said she does not feel like she would survive it again.  She's been through the "red devil" (aka chemo). She feels like the chemo would kill her with the current condition of her heart.

 

This led us to learn more about what chemo even is and does.

 

Did you know that some chemotherapy drugs were originally developed from yew trees?

 

docetaxel (Taxotere) was first made from the needles of the European yew tree

paclitaxel (Taxol) was made from the bark of the Pacific yew tree

 

There are so many interesting things to learn on this journey of empowered health care.

 

One thing is very clear.  Our best chance at living a thriving, healthy life is to be in control of our health care decisions, taking a mind, body, spirit approach to reach root causes and be able to access the options we need without worrying about how to pay for it.

 

So, her first stop on her journey to eradicate the cancer will be a reputable cancer hospital in Mexico called Hope 4 Cancer. It was first recommended to me with a raving review from a friend who is now in remission from her breast cancer.

She leaves this October and the first round of care will be $43,000. This does not include airfare.

 

She will be receiving intensive treatments 6 days a week for 3 weeks at their facility in Cancun. They use non-toxic therapies that have also been extensively studied in the US but are not patented and therefore don't make the medical industry any money. This is the unfortunate reality of health care in many places. It's profit over people.

 

The cost also includes two follow up visits in 3 and 6 months and an at home regimen of supplements, medication and treatments for 3 months.

 

Her husband and her have taken a loan out to pay for this initial treatment.

 

However, she will have a healing cost beyond this. All integrative healing care outside of the hospital in the US will be an additional cost.

 

She will need access to an integrative Gerson therapy specialist in the US when she gets back, trauma informed therapy since the root cause of most cancer is unhealed grief and bottled up emotions, supplements and herbs, hyperbaric chamber treatments, intravenous vitamin injections, photoimmunotherapy, infrared saunas and more.

 

My greatest desire is for her to rest financially and to take that one burden completely off her plate. I want her to know with certainty she does not have to limit the choices available for her to heal based on finances.

 

It was hard for her to even ask her husband for help let alone allow me to set up this GoFundMe!

If you know her, you know she would probably prefer to walk across hot coals.

 

Receiving will be part of her healing. It's likely something all of us can work on.
