Last April, Renee & Chris were shocked when Renee was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It felt as if their world had been turned upside down. Over the next nine months, Renee would receive 12 rounds of chemotherapy, have her bile duct stent replaced 3 times, and undergo a Whipple surgery with an 8-day hospital stay. She has now started receiving 27 fractions of radiation.

With an unexpected illness comes unexpected medical bills and expenses. Chris has taken off work numerous days. Renee typically works part-time and hasn't been able to work much throughout her treatments. Currently, they are working hard to pay off their yearly deductible, medical expenses and additional unplanned living expenses totaling over $5,000 . Throughout this journey, they have seen God's faithfulness through His acts of kindness to them, through the healing of her body (she is doing really well!) and through the support of their community. They are so grateful for every prayer, meal, and encouraging word.
