Help Renee battle Liposarcoma Cancer (MRL)
Donation protected
Hello everyone, most of you know Renee as your house sitter, dog sitter, babysitter, dog walker, coaching your children’s team in various sports, or simply being that adult they trust love and laugh with on the playground of their school. Some of you hear her loud calls on the baseball field and some have done a few shots of fireball while dancing to country music. We her family have been unbelievably shocked and are in disbelief with the challenge she has been dealt. We are asking for your generosity and continued prayers.
She was diagnosed August 2020 with an extremely rare cancer called my Myxoid Liposarcoma (MRL). The cancer is located in her left calf.
So far she finished three rounds of really harsh chemo and is starting on five weeks of radiation. The chemo is to kill the cancer and the radiation shrinks it. Once radiation is over, it will continue to work for 5 more weeks. In April she will be scheduled for surgery to remove it from her leg. There is a 25% chance of leg
salvage. Once she goes into surgery they could remove the cancer and she could wake up with her leg or they will have to amputate. The amputation could be below the knee or above the knee in each of these outcomes she’s still looking at a long recovery.
Renee has been an inspiration and maintained her fighting spirit, we’re all very optimistic. She has the best team of doctors and continues to be incredibly brave with everything she’s going through.
We as her family are thanking you in advance for your love, prayers and support.
