At the tender age of seventeen, while attending college, Renee embarked on a lifelong journey of compassion and service. She tirelessly served at Saint Mary's for 28 years and later at Reno Diagnostics for another 14 years. As a single parent, she successfully raised two wonderful boys, instilling in them the values of love, resilience, and kindness.

However, life has thrown a curveball at Renee. In May of 2023, she received a diagnosis that none of us were prepared for - kidney cancer. Despite the immense challenges she faces, Renee remains strong, determined, and optimistic. She is currently undergoing treatment in both Reno, Nevada, and at an integrated clinic in Arizona. The nature of her treatment necessitates frequent travel between these locations, adding an additional layer of complexity and financial strain.
