Hello, my name is Rene’ Thompson. I am a single mother of 3. I’ve been on this journey for 11 years now. It first started with a breast cancer diagnosis, Stage 2, in 2013. I fought, I won. But the chemotherapy caused heart damage. I had OHS in 2019 with 2 valves replaced and a cardiac defibrillator placement. Nothing got better. Emergency surgery for a complete heart transplant in April 2024. I had to pay out of pocket for the heart transplant, a little over $8000. I’m on the kidney transplant list and I have to come up with the first $8000 before I can get the transplant. Additional medical treatment and medication after the transplant will cost $2000. God continues to bless me. If God places this on your heart to donate for my kidney, my family and I would greatly appreciate anything you would be able to do. I will have a better quality of life with your support.
