Rene, who is one of the most beautiful souls, was discovered on the CTA train with no pulse. After forty terrifying minutes, medical professionals were able to revive him. While by the grace of God, he survived, he is currently in critical condition and hooked up to life support.
Rene was born on August 21, 1984 and touched the lives of so many people. He loved to dance, listen to Mariah Carey, go out with friends for margaritas, and watch his favorite movie, Titanic. He always had a smile on, even though he suffered through bullying and gender identity issues. A genuinely kind-hearted person, Rene never judged people and treated everyone like they were family. Yet, he has had a hard life. He recently lost his father, as well as his youngest sister. Someone who has a heart as pure as Rene deserves a fair medical fight.
Rene coming back to life after 40 minutes is a miracle, we are all grateful for, but he has a long fight ahead of him. We are hoping for a miracle and that he makes a full recovery. Yet, we know we have to begin to prepare emotionally for the worst-case scenario.
We understand that the past year has been hard on everyone both emotionally and financially, and we are still recovering from the pandemic. So, first and foremost, we are asking you all to pray for Rene and ask God to pave a path for him to recover from this traumatic event. However, we would greatly appreciate any contributions you can make to help us pay for Rene’s medical treatment.
All contributions will go to Rene’s sister, Erica, and will be used exclusively to pay for medical expenses and, in the unfortunate case that Rene does not survive, expenses related to final resting arrangements. We love Rene so much and he means the world to us. We appreciate all of your prayers and all of your support. If you have the time, please share Rene’s story, and help us reach our goal to take care of Rene in his
time of need. Again, thank you and God bless.
