Help Renae Rebuild Her Life After Devastating Bike Accident

Donation protected
Last year on August 2nd, Renae’s life took a devastating turn when she had a severe motorbike accident. Riding with her friends from Sydney Random Riders, she suddenly experienced death wobbles on the front end of her GSXR on the M4. This caused her to lose control, and she tragically collided with a metal guardrail, resulting in severe lacerations to the back of her left leg and multiple pelvis fractures, among other injuries.

Renae’s injuries were so severe that she was immediately put into an induced coma for 3 weeks and spent 2-3 months in ICU. She has undergone 14 surgeries so far, including skin grafts, tendon transfers, and the insertion of screws to stabilize her pelvis. She’s faced countless complications along the way, including infections, blood loss, blood clots, heart problems and nearly dying even after coming out of the coma. Yet, through it all, Renae has shown an incredible amount of strength, resilience, and hope.

Renae is incredibly lucky to have kept all of her limbs, but the road to recovery is long. She’s currently relearning how to sit, stand, and walk—things she hasn’t done in 8 months. But one thing that keeps her going, and a huge part of her recovery, is her passion for cars and motorbikes, as well as the love for her two beautiful children. Every moment she spends away from them only strengthens her desire to get back to them—hugging them, holding their hands, and being the active, loving mother she has always been. They are her heart, her drive, and the source of her unwavering determination to push through every challenge every day. The thought of being with them, living life again, and showing them what true strength and resilience look like, fills her with hope and determination.

Since she was just 4 years old, Renae had developed a passion for cars. She used to work on cars with her dad. She grew up riding dirt bikes and by the time she was 17, she had her first road bike, and she hasn’t looked back since. Motorbikes and cars are her heart and soul, and the thought of getting back on a bike one day fuels her recovery.

Despite all the progress she has made, she still has a long journey ahead of her. CTP insurance covers some of her rehabilitation, mobility aids, and home adjustments for the first year, but she will need support beyond that. Renae’s life will be forever changed, and we want to ensure that she can continue to live it with as much independence, joy, and fulfillment as possible.

The funds raised here will go directly towards improving Renae's quality of life, supporting her ongoing recovery, and helping her achieve her dreams of riding again. She is working hard to regain strength and mobility, and we want to give her the best chance to live the life she deserves.

Renae is a loving mother to two beautiful children, 10-year-old daughter and her 3-year-old son. She has been away from them for nearly 8 months, and the pain of missing them while she’s been in the hospital is something that weighs heavily on her heart. She dreams of the day she can hold them, walk with them, and be alongside them again.

We’re asking for your help to give Renae the support she needs to thrive and not just survive. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a world of difference as she continues her recovery and works toward regaining her independence and passions.

Thank you for your support, your kindness, and for being part of this journey with Renae. She has so much love to give, and we’re determined to help her live her best life.
