Hello, my name is Sharon Edelman and I have a dear friend desperately needing some love and financial help to try and BEAT breast cancer! I'm sure we've all had cancer effect our lives...a family member, friend, colleague, neighbor or personally. It's a nasty disease that took my Grandma, Grandpa, both my in-laws and several friends. Please HELP me kick cancer to the curb and HELP Renae battle and WIN against breast cancer!

I'm a good friend of Renae Gibson, a Realtor in Houston, Texas. Renae and I met at a Keller Williams real estate conference in Dallas 2020 - and become instant friends. Renae's towering presence and bubbly personality is an automatic draw to those around her. She loves helping people, loves all things Houston real estate and rodeo, loves her friends, and is deeply rooted in her faith.

Sadly, this week 2/1/24 my spunky and usually energetic friend received horrible news that she has Stage 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. It has advanced quickly in the last 5 months from her original biopsy in September 2023 which stated stage 0 non-invasive cancer. Renae was delayed treatment due to lack of finances and numerous roadblocks put in her way by her HMO insurance. Renae finally was able to have a lumpectomy on January 22, 2024 and is thankful for the skilled surgeon she finally was connected to (after 9 months in this process). Now, she is waiting on a referral to an oncologist specializing in Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Time is of the essence to get Renae the care she needs - something HMO's don't seem to care about since they have crazy red tape. Renae needs her oncologist to map out the best plan to BEAT this cancer and get her whole & well again. She is having pain in her neck & back and praying the cancer has not spread & that her HMO will cover an MRI this week. This is becoming a runaway train - and Renae needs our HELP!

I'm asking for any and all donations- big or small- to help Renae afford the treatment(s) and surgery that she will need very soon. Renae's HMO is horrible and she has a large deductible and not great coverage. Renae did not ask for a GoFundMe page but several friends all agreed that she NEEDS our help. She is humbled that we all want to help her SURVIVE - and strangers she's never met could aid in her survival as well. Renae has juggled her expenses and her elderly mother's household for many years by herself with no outside help - as a single, self-employed woman. But, funds are dried up and she just cannot do this by herself if she wants the BEST care to BEAT CANCER.
