Rena (Reina) is an almost 8-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix who means the world to her owner. Adopted as a beloved family member, Rena has always been a source of comfort and joy. Recently, she faced a series of health challenges: seasonal allergies led to hives and swelling, and she developed a painful ear infection. The constant irritation caused Rena to shake her head so much that a blood vessel in her ear flap ruptured, forming a hematoma. Despite two attempts to drain it, the hematoma returned, and now the vet recommends surgery to cut, drain, and suture the ear so it doesn’t come back.

Rena’s owner has already spent so much on vet visits, treatments, and prescription food to manage her allergies, but the cost of surgery is beyond her means right now. Because of a recent injury, Rena's owner is temporarily unable to work and is waiting on medical help for herself. She has been relying on credit cards and the kindness of others to get by, but now she needs help from the community to give Rena the care she deserves.

Rena is an affectionate, happy dog who provides emotional support and comfort every day. Her owner’s greatest wish is for Rena to be healthy, pain-free, and able to enjoy many more good years together.
