My beloved cat Ren has been with me since I rescued him as a stray in NYC nearly 14 years ago. He’s been my constant companion through everything bringing love, comfort, and strength during my hardest years.
Just last month, Ren’s vet gave him a clean bill of health. But in early October, I noticed sudden changes such as weight loss, poor appetite, and fatigue. On October 15th, an ultrasound revealed heartbreaking news: a tumor in or near his stomach.
Surgery isn’t currently an option, but Ren is on medication (Prednisolone, appetite stimulants, and anti-nausea meds) that’s helped him start eating again giving me hope. The next step is an urgent oncology referral for a biopsy and treatment plan to see if chemotherapy could give him more quality time or perhaps even remission of the cancer.
⏰ Ren’s potential improvement is very time-sensitive! Getting him treatment as soon as possible is crucial.⏰
Ren means everything to me. After losing my other three cats in recent years, he’s my heart, my family, and my reason to keep going despite my own health challenges of severe chronic migraines and frequent fatigue.
Unfortunately, my limited income can’t cover the sudden cost of specialist care, diagnostics, and possible treatment.
All funds will go toward:
- Oncology consultation and testing
- Biopsy to determine cancer type
- Chemotherapy or palliative care
- Final expenses if needed
Even the smallest donation helps. Just $1 can mean a lot coming from many generous hearts, even just sharing this page for increased visibility would mean the world to me.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me fight for my sweet Ren.
