Hi - my name is Brittany and I am raising funds for my good friend Lynette’s sweet pup Remi.

If you know Lynette, you know she is kind, compassionate, always doing things for others, and especially loves her sweet girl Remi so much. Over the past week, Remi has developed an unknown illness causing the vet bills to pile on. She started with what looked like she was in heat, but she is spayed so Lynette knew something wasn’t right. In taking her to the vet initially last week, they ran many tests, took blood work, x-rays, and assumed she had a UTI - ultimately sending her home with antibiotics while they waited for tests to return. She took a turn for the worst the next day. Lynette took her back to the vet where they added additional antibiotics for her to be on and stated it looks less like a UTI now and more like a different infection, an autoimmune disease, or cancer. She took Remi home and later that day the vet called stating she needed to come back right away as her blood pressure came back high, white blood cells were off, protein was off, etc. They then ran more tests. This past Monday evening Remi had to be rushed to the emergency vet as she was puking blood. She has been staying at a veterinary office since as they still try to figure out what is causing her symptoms and how to treat her. They have now ruled out any internal bleeding and tumors, but know something is still attacking her platelets. Remi is the goodest girl who is only 5 years old. As you can imagine, the bills are still adding up and not stopping as they work to get a diagnosis for her so she can be properly treated.

We are asking for any donations anyone can offer to help pay these and future vet bills. If you have a pet, you know they are your family and we would do anything to make them feel better. I will provide updates on her status as they become available. We just want Remi back home with her favorite person.

2/22/24 Update: Remi will have to stay at the vet’s office for a few more days as her platelets are still too low to come home.

2/24/24 Update: REMI WAS ABLE TO COME HOME!!!. Remi is still on medication and has a long road ahead of her, but at least she is in the comfort of her own home. Thank you all so much for your continued love and support.
