Help Remi get her health back

Hi my name is Lexi and I am setting up this donation to help my friends Maranda and Travis nurse their puppy Remmi back to health.

A week ago, Remmi was taken to the vet for tests and found that she had a bacteria infection causing her vomiting and diarrhea. After a round of antibiotics she seems to be doing better.

But a few more days passed and Remmi was not eating or drinking any fluids. After over 24 hours of Remmi drinking no fluids, Maranda and Travis became worried and took her in to the after hours emergency vet clinic. They ran several more tests and in an x-ray they found a gas buildup in her stomach. After a barium test to determine if there was a foreign body, the barium only made it to her stomach and she vomited half of the barium up.

They vet had to go in for an exploratory surgery to figure out what was wrong. Once inside, they found Remmi had an intussusception — basically her intestine collapsed inside itself and created a blockage that didn’t allow anything to pass through.

Luckily it was caught early enough that they were able to reverse it and Remmi is now recovering at the vet. Because this surgery has the potential to relapse, Remmi has to stay at the vet overnight for the next two days.

Marand and Travis have applied for CareCredit and have already spent over $1000 out of pocket. Baby Remmi is only 7 months old and her mom and dad have a life full of adventures planned for her. Not to mention her big sister Kate is at home heartbroken and confused about where her sister is.
