Remi is my fur baby and I would do anything for her. I never imagined I would be writing this post. For years, I have been part of this incredible community, silently supporting others—offering prayers, words of encouragement, and donating when I could to help those in need. It has always been humbling to witness the love and compassion shared here. I never thought I’d be on the other side of this, asking for help through tears, but here I am, completely heartbroken and out of options.

Last Thursday, we received devastating news about my soul animal, Remi. She was diagnosed with a small tumor on her spleen that could rupture at any moment, along with apocrine gland anal sac adenocarcinoma (AGASACA). The doctors at UT Medical Center have recommended surgery to remove the tumors, followed by chemotherapy and radiation. While these treatments offer her the best chance, they come with a financial burden that we are completely unprepared for.

The exam and diagnostic testing have already left us struggling, as the hospital does not offer payment plans. I applied for CareCredit but was denied, leaving me feeling helpless, guilt-ridden, and terrified. Remi is not just a pet—she is a vital part of our family, my best friend, and my soul’s companion. She has been through a lot and still has so much love and fight left in her. I am not ready to say goodbye, and I am desperate to give her the chance she deserves.

I’ve included the hospital invoice below for transparency and would be eternally grateful for any donations, shares, or prayers to help us fight for Remi’s life. Even the smallest gesture would mean the world to us. This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but I know that this community understands the deep and unbreakable bond we have with our animals.
