Hello friends!

I am raising funds in order to relocate to my home in Kansas City from Portland.

I moved to Portland in 2022 with aspirations of finding community and adventure, but that sadly was far from the case. After my partnership ended, and my career took a nose dive, I have been struggling to make ends meet. I can’t afford to stay in Portland, and I’m looking forward to returning to my roots in the Midwest. I miss everything I gave up and want to regain my footing again after so much upheaval. Currently I am working full time and picking up side gigs when possible, but all that combined barely gets me month to month. This fundraiser is my best chance at being able to safely transport myself and my sweet cat Reishi home.

Your donation will directly be used for fees to rent a uhaul, trailer, or pod, lodging along the road, and other travel expenses. When I moved to Portland the fee for a moving pod and trailer ran upwards of 2800. Plus the 3 day drive, gas, two nights along the road, and food costs. If you have any suggestions or feedback on how to maximize efficiency on this trip I would be so appreciative!

My timeline is to spend this last winter in Portland and move in the spring. This will hopefully give me time to tie up any loose ends and prepare to move cross country.
