Help Relocate To A City I Can Work In

EDIT AUGUST 12, 2025

Goal has been automated. One step at a time.

I cannot divulge details, but the situation has become more dire. This town is too expensive with too little work opportunity.

(I will be adding photos better showing my situation soon. This is urgent however - I need this up straightaway.)

Hi, my name is Tamara, also known as Callisto or Dagger online, and I am struggling horribly with finance, work, and chronic pain. This past year has been a complete nightmare. I lost my job due to a stress-induced breakdown, and as a result I accumulated debt to pay my bills. I couldn't manage at my apartment any longer, so I moved back in with my parents on a time limit. My mother and sister have already left—my dad is only here until they find housing where they want to live, which my parents both think he will be leaving around Septembre.

I was supposed to be married on July 19th to get a start on fixing my life and my fiancée and I getting together physically, but my financial situation caused me to be denied at the U.S. border. So now, I'm trapped in Fort Saskatchewan again.

I am unhireable here, but we found a nice place in Regina where I might be able to survive if I can just *get* there. The rent starts at approx. $1109 a month which is absolutely doable once I get a job and can get back to full time work (one benefit of unemployment is my bad knee could rest - I have faith I can maintain 35-40h weeks now!). My only problem is that breakdown also cost me my hireability.

I am desperately searching for remote work as well as for work in Regina and still trying to apply for work in Fort Sask, but my search is not going well. And so I turn to you, the community, for help getting me back on my feet. I've had to ask for help a lot in the last few years, and I'm hoping this is the last time I'll need help with anything major.

Once I'm in Regina, my fiancée and I will certainly be doing a lot better financially and we will be able to work on coming together, getting married, and fixing out debts. Alberta is just... so deeply unfriendly to its disabled and poor residents, and with being undesirable in the workplace, I quite literally have nothing here. Once my dad leaves, that's it. My cat and I are on the streets, and in the winters here, that is not somewhere you want to be.

Please consider sharing this with friends and family, as well. Funds will be used for first month's rent and security deposit, as well as any other expenses that may come up in Regina. Thank you for reading.
