I am raising funds to relocate my disabled partner from their present living situation in Texas to living with me in Illinois. They have only recently received their official disability and in so doing, lost access to all of the charities and doctors they previously were utilizing to get the services and meds. You read that correctly, receiving disability and signing up for medicaid has left them WITHOUT appropriate medical care in the state of Texas.

To further complicate the situation, the actual physical living situation in the shelter she was given has been deteriorating rapidly over the last few months. Multiple pest infestations, unreplaced broken windows, and dangerous allergens left to run amok. The location is frankly untenable for habitation given its myriad problems.

We are also going to be relocating several animals with her as they are also disabled and elderly, therefor unfit for any rehousing effort and that will need veterinary care beforehand. The we involved is myself and my partner's sibling, who will be traveling to Texas to physically pack what cannot be shipped.
