Help Relocate Historic WWI Cabin to 29th Division Museum
Tax deductible
The Citizen Soldiers Education Foundation Inc. a 5013c (formerly the 116th Infantry Regiment Foundation) is raising funds to relocate this World War I cabin to the 29th Division Museum in Verona VA from it's previous location in storage at Fort Meade MD. The cabin was originally located on the grounds of Fort Meade MD during World War I and then was completely dissembled and put into storage. The cabin was built to function as a unit assembly room for soldiers and officers deploying to World War I during their pre-deployment training. The cabin was deliberately built in the same fashion as those found at Valley Forge PA used in the Revolutionary War. The fundraising will directly support the restoration of the cabin and re-assembly at the 29th Division Museum.
