Have you ever woken up and realized that you're in the wrong location, both mentally and physically?

I have spent most of my career in Illinois, sacrificing everything, including my own happiness and quality of life, to achieve my current status as an artist and designer. Still, it has come to my attention that change is necessary to grow as an artist. I have known for a while that I needed to relocate; it was the where I was unsure of, and now it is time for a bit of a challenge to uproot and move halfway across the country to Austin to pursue different avenues and projects, such as creating teaching/ mentor workshops to help makers elevate their skills in the apparel industry.

I have fallen in love with both the queer and artist/maker community in Austin. This move would fulfill the need for adventure and start fresh with my current body of work as an artist, along with elevating my quality of life in ways I could never have dreamed of.

I need help to relocate my entire business, studio, and residence to Austin. The main expenses are travel, storage, and being able to find a location suitable for a professional live/work situation, including deposit and 1st month's rent. It will take a bunch of back-and-forth trips to move everything. This help would go a long way to create a bit of breathing room to be able to have the time to rebuild and create an entirely new collection with less stress and more creativity.
