Help Fox's Mama Pursue Her Law School Dream

Hey friends,

It’s me, Rell — community organizer, educator, and mama. I have some big news: I’ve been accepted into several law schools and I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be beginning my legal journey this fall!

Law school has been a dream of mine for over a decade. After years of organizing and advocating, I’m finally ready to take this next step — one rooted in a deep love for my people and an even deeper commitment to justice.

My goal is to use the law to protect and uplift our most vulnerable community members — our youth. As a mother and lifelong youth worker, I’m passionate about disrupting the school-to-prison pipeline, defending the First Amendment rights of young protesters, and ensuring our educators aren’t punished by the State for creating inclusive education for all of our young people. I want to be the kind of lawyer who fights for children like mine and families like ours.

Now, I need your help to make this dream real.

The ask: With $5,000 in support already secured, I’m asking my community to help me raise $13,000. I’ve made a commitment to only ask for what I believe I can match through work, savings, and scholarships. I'm starting now so that I'll be in a good place by the time deposits are due this Summer. (Speaking of work, hiring me to consult on curriculum, facilitation & trainings, speaking gigs or campaign design is also a way to support!)

Because of my responsibilities as a mother, especially to a child on the autism spectrum, loans aren’t a viable option for our family. Your support will help ensure I can start this journey while still showing up fully for my child.
