Help Relieve Medical Bills for a Grieving Family for Ramadan
Donation protected
I am a daughter of a father who sadly passed away last year after decades of declining health. He was a devoted Muslim who moved to the United States to pursue his education and start a new life with his wife and newborn daughter, later having four more kids down the road. Despite the hardships of being able to fully provide and support his family, he always gave the little he had through his faith and presence—both to his family and the Muslim community in Ohio and worldwide.
Months have passed since he was buried in Ohio back in October, but as the familiar tale goes of dealing with the death of a loved one, my family is still dealing with the aftershock of his passing. Weeks leading up to his death, he had been in the hospital for days on end, supported with oxygen and all other medical support to stabilize his health. A day after being ejected from his last stay at the hospital, his health rapidly declined again, and he was rushed to the hospital in an attempt to stabilize his health, then airlifted to another hospital where he sadly passed. He didn't have the best health insurance, and his medical bills started piling up.
For Ramadan, I want to help relieve my mother of the stress of keeping up with his medical bills. On top of supporting herself and her children with the little she has, she is faced with a monthly reminder of the post-mortem medical bill that comes in the mail. Any amount counts, and I turn to the Muslim community or anyone who has a dollar or two to spare to help with this fundraiser.
