Our good friend Nain lost his beloved mother to COVID-19 on April 14, 2021. Doña Sara was the heart and soul of his large and extended family in Bolivia and beyond. She was a friend to all who met her, always gifting neighbors, family and friends with delicious creations from her kitchen. Gardening was her passion, and she started a nursery and bed-and-breakfast in their town of Samaipata, where she became known as the "queen of flowers." Nain, and all who knew and loved her, are beyond devastated.
Now his father, don Jacobo Yepez, is in the hospital fighting COVID in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, and the family has already taken out loans to cover the the astronomical medical bills accumulating at the rate of 8,000 Bolivianos, or over $1,000 US Dollars, per day .
We want to help the Yepez family with the expenses associated with a funeral for doña Sara, as well as the growing medical bills to treat don Jacobo. Any amount you can contribute will be such a huge help. Thank you so much.
