On September 3, 2026 at 6:37 AM, our lives changed in an instant. Set, a loving son, brother, and the primary provider for his parents, was detained by immigration agents outside his home while preparing to head to work. Like so many of us, he left that morning with the intention of returning home to his family. When ICE officers approached him, he cooperated fully without resistance, knowing the risks involved.
Set came to this country as a young 12-year-old child and has build a life in this country. He has a completely clean record, no legal infractions, and has become a law abiding member of the community . He is known by his community as a quiet, respectful, and deeply hardworking young man who lives a peaceful life centered on his faith and his family. The family belongs to a close-knit Christian community, guided by strong values, faith, and care for one another.
Set is not just fighting for his freedom, he is fighting for the stability and survival of his family. Set is the primary financial provider for his parents, who are already facing serious health and financial hardships. His father is disabled and permanently unable to work. His younger sister works tirelessly and is now advocating for her brother, but she cannot carry the financial responsibility of the entire household alone. Without Set at home, his parents are left without their main source of income, food, shelter, transportation and medical support.
Set has since been transferred to the Adelanto ICE Processing Center, where he remains detained. His family is humbly reaching out to our community, friends, faith communities, and anyone who believes in helping a family through an incredibly difficult time. Set’s immigration attorney estimates that setting up a bond to release him from detention will cost around $20,000+. This is in addition to the legal fees required for his immigration proceedings. Please help ups bring my brother back home. Set faces a lengthy legal process, and an unknown future for himself and his family.
