Summary: Urgent Immediate Action

I am urgently looking to raise £210k within 3 weeks (by 1st of June) for an estimated 3 month fire reinstatement that must start within June 2026 before the winter and holiday seasons after a house fire. We are just thankful for the essentials like beds and clothes at present. An uncertain future, separation and dealing with health challenges has compounded the urgency.

£50k by 24 May 2026 — secure builder and start urgent works

£100k by 12 June 2026 — continue building

£150k by 10 July 2026 — complete core works and make the house habitable

£210k by 20 September 2026 — basic furniture, essential living setup, VAT, buffer and rebuild stability

Within the last three years we’ve been moving, managing complex processes across multiple organisations, meeting demands.

For the last 18 months, we’ve supported ourselves entirely managing costs for 2 properties, starting with duvet, beds, chairs, tables and not much more . Alongside doing everything we could to keep going.

I can't do it anymore.

Background

This is our 40yr + family home in SE London. My mum and I held it together with two siblings under 10 since I was 18. I pushed myself, despite getting patched up each morning for months from a shotgun injury before going to work to keep a roof over our heads. While mum managed the effects of cancer treatment and couldn't work. In 2012 I couldn't work again and we lived off life savings, then;

Tragically we lost mum in 2020 after 7 years of fighting, caring, and surviving.

While still grieving and healing from different injuries as well as a clean shin break, we had a house fire. Another event that rocked us and further exhaustion and grief followed.

The Fire - March 2023

I luckily woke up and escaped a blazing fire indoors. Everything was lost to the fire or smoke. My brother and I passed between hotels, rooms, a couple of nights in the car, not knowing for roughly 6 months where we were going to sleep next — with no stability and no place to cook for months. We started with just our clothes.

Three years later - we are still not home - periods of employment, unemployment, - I am now urgently and humbly accepting help from those who can afford to help raise funds towards the estimated costs associated with restoring our lives and home - to keep us together.

Now (May 2026)

We have done everything we can, turning in every direction. As a last resort, I'm humbly willing to accept help from others to keep my family together.

Why We Need Help Now

With new health challenges compounding an already impossible task of saving anything while running the cost of 2 properties, and dreaming of getting home before winter, we have reached a point of burn out. I accept we need a miracle and help urgently.

If we cannot begin soon:

costs will continue to rise

delays will push the reinstatement further back

risk losing the home altogether

Separate and leave UK.

I’m praying to stay here and keep our family together, to move out of survival mode and burn out to safety, wellness and unity.

When everything is stripped away memories, heirlooms — you lose your sense of self too.

Sharing and declaring help is not easy - My brothers are not aware of my request. But this feels like my last hope of trying to keep us and our home together.
