In May, our sweet girl Reina was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in her back right knee. After labs, x-rays, and exams, the vet confirmed it had not spread anywhere else. At the time, chemotherapy was recommended, but it was financially out of reach. We made the decision to give her the happiest, most love-filled life possible—managing her pain and cherishing every moment.

In July, a wound developed on the tumor, and we began wound care. On August 9th, we went back for a checkup. The vet reviewed her wound (which is healing well) and took new x-rays. While the cancer has severely damaged the knee bone, it is still only in that leg—no signs of metastasis.

Then came the news that gave us so much hope: the vet recommended removing the leg, and she sees no reason why that wouldn’t remove the cancer entirely. This surgery could save her life.

We want Reina to stay with us—happy, healthy, and pain-free. Any help toward her surgery costs, no matter the amount, would mean the world to us and give Reina the chance she deserves.
