My name is Reigns Anderson, and I am a mom to a wonderful 9-year-old non-verbal autistic son and two loving Rottweilers. For over a decade, I worked as a city bus operator and built a stable life for my family in Tempe. Everything changed when I was diagnosed with stage 5 end-of-life kidney failure. Now, I need a kidney transplant to survive, and my world has been turned upside down.
In the past year, I lost both of my parents—my dad in Washington state and my mom in Arizona. As an only child, I had to care for their estates while managing my own health crisis. The stress and travel left me homeless, and I’ve been living in my truck with my son and dogs ever since. I applied for food stamps and social security, but I am still waiting for help. I tried to make ends meet by delivering for Uber Eats, but was deactivated after someone complained about me working with my child. Now, every day is a struggle to provide food, shelter, and safety for my family.
Right now, I urgently need new tires for my truck and gas money to get us back to Washington state, where I hope to find more support. I also need pet supplies—dog food, proper shade, a cooling system, and a better canopy—so my dogs can be safe and comfortable. Your support will help us get out of our truck and into a safer situation while I continue my medical journey. Any help you can give means the world to us. Thank you for reading and for caring about our story.
