My best friend and emotional support animal, Reign, is an amazing Alaskan Malamute. When he was younger, he got hurt at a dog park while running and having fun with the other dogs. Reign was rushed to the emergency vet, where they did x-rays and a follow-up with a surgeon. He was diagnosed with a luxating patella, which means his kneecap pops out of the groove. We tried physical therapy and home remedies for a while, and it seemed to help for some time.

Recently, Reign's situation has gotten worse. His knee keeps clicking as he walks, and it's clear he's in pain. The only way to help him walk comfortably again is through surgery, but the cost is more than I can afford. Reign is my best friend, and I wish I could take his pain away myself.
