Hello everyone, I am in the process of trying to raise money for one of my good friends. Reid is one of the most selfless and caring people I have ever met, and I feel as though this is the least I can do for him during this difficult time. I will let him explain things in his own words.
"I’ve had back pain for about two years and a few months ago I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis. It’s a chronic back condition where your vertebrates can fuse together. Before they gave me medication to help treat that, I needed to have a chest x-ray to see if I had TB. The chest X-ray showed a mass around my heart, which is a tumor.
The image here is a PET scan a few weeks ago of my chest. A biopsy of my lymph nodes showed I have Hodgkin’s lymphoma which is cancer of the lymph nodes. Out of the kinds of cancer you can get, this is one of the more curable ones so I’m thankful for that. I start chemotherapy on Tuesday and treatment typically lasts three months. Kinda bummed about losing my hair but that’s just one of the things that happens."
