Hello!
My name is Julia Suelter and this fundraiser is being established for my friend Reicher Martinez.
After enduring a headache that wouldn't quit and feeling intense pressure behind his left eye, it was discovered that Reicher had a mass filling his left sinus cavity. On Friday, October 30, 2020 Reicher was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, and after further testing it was discovered the cancer had spread to his bone marrow. This is a rare cancer.
Reicher will be undergoing radiation to shrink the tumor and chemotherapy to help combat the spread of the cancer. At this time we are unsure how long his treatment will last.
Reicher is a 2020 graduate of Pius X High School and was excited to start his collegiate career at UNO majoring in Bioinformatics. While this is a temporary setback, Reicher is strong willed and determined and will not let this cancer thing keep him down. He has a strong, unwavering faith in God and is surrounded by the love and support of his family and friends. We cannot thank everyone enough for the outpouring of support during this time.
