Over the past several months, my roommate Taylor and myself have been dealing with a roach infestation with limited help from management. Roaches have been getting into our raw potatoes, rice, and pancake mix. We recently put unsecured raw food items in sealed containers, but the roaches persist.

On may 15, 2026, after a confrontation with my abusive mother, I was asked to leave my roach infested apartment by Aug 1. If I am unable to find a new home by the Aug 1 deadline, I will not have a place to stay. I am in need of funds for first and last month's rent if I am able to find a place that does not do credit checks and allows pets. If I am unable to find such a place, I will have to give him up for adoption or to a friend who can take care of him.

My kitchen appliances have been home to roaches and because of this, I have to throw away my toaster, toaster oven, and coffee machine and will need funds to replace them. My mother will be taking the microwave from me, and so I will also need funds to replace that appliance as well.

I am looking for a modest bachelor or single bedroom apartment unit, preferably through the city's Geared-To-Income Housing system. Funds will go to first & last month's rent/emergency shelter (motel etc), any costs associated with re-homing Oscar, as well as any costs associated with moving and obtaining new kitchen appliances.
