My name is Brenda Evans, and I never imagined life would lead me here on this path paved by love, heartbreak, and a fierce hope that refuses to fade.

It started with one special cat named Archie. Not just any cat, a warrior with a spirit so tender, even though his legs couldn't carry him, his heart was unstoppable. Archie taught me what courage truly means: the quiet, unbreakable kind that shines brightest in the face of pain.

When Archie left this world, it felt like the light inside me dimmed. But from that sorrow, a promise rose, born from love as deep as the oceans. A promise to care for every disabled, sick, and abandoned stray who’s ever been forgotten or overlooked. This promise is why I named this sanctuary after Archie, to honour his brave heart and the love he gave so freely.

Every single day, I watch these fragile souls, those with broken bodies and tired eyes, yearning simply to be seen, safe, and loved. I’ve done what I can with my own two hands, stretching every resource to heal, feed, and shelter them. But now, my arms are full, and the need keeps growing.

To keep this dream alive and to let Archie’s legacy shine ever brighter, I must take a crucial next step: legally registering Archie’s Cat Sanctuary as a nonprofit. With that comes access to grants, partnerships, and protections that will help me care for many more. But it’s a journey filled with paperwork, government fees, translations… all totaling to £700 a mountain I can’t climb alone.

So today, I reach out to you, with humility and hope.
