Hi everyone,
As you may know, Douglas has been running his doggie rescue for over a year now and it has come the time to officially register as an NGO/charity in Uganda!
Why is it important to do so?
Getting officially registered comes with major benefits:
- Recognition by government and local authorities, allowing us to collaborate more openly with officials.
- Access to grants, donations, and international aid for animal welfare projects.
- Tax exemptions and legal protections for our charity work.
- Trust and credibility-people are more likely to support a registered organization.
- Easier partnerships with volunteers, and international animal rescues.
What do we need the money for exactly?
- Get the right documentation and stamps from the local community office
- Get the Chairman’s stamps and Authorization
- Get the charity ID from the NIRA
- Apply with the UNBS and URA for animal welfare
- Get a Tin Number and a NIN number
Help us bring this dream to life, any small donation counts!
THANK YOU!
