Many of you know Regina (Miller) Black, University of Redlands, Class of 79.
She was a patroness for almost 40 years!
She has suffered from ill health including open heart surgery and more recently Obstructive Bowel Disease that required ileostomy surgery. The hope was, and is, to reverse the ileostomy and free her from wearing the external bag. She was discharged home in late November from an extensive stay at a rehabilitation center. She lives alone and can not handle the care of the ileostomy. This has caused 3 emergency room overnight hospitalizations in less than 3 weeks. This week a group of Theta sisters stepped in and are managing her medical and physical care. The improvement in Regina's physical and mental health are incredibly noticeable in just the few days that she has been in the home of Theta sister, MaryAnn Kelly.
Regina's hope is to return home when she is physically stronger. We have set this fund up to raise money for her homecare needs that will help pay for any out of pocket medical expenses, as well as pay for any care needed once her insurance coverage is exhausted.
