Help Regina Cocoa Heal and Rebuild

On her birthday, our beloved friend Regina Cocoa, a talented burlesque and drag performer, activist, and social educator, was involved in a horrific car accident. This tragedy not only left her with life-altering injuries for Regina but has a long road to recovery.
Regina’s injuries were severe—she underwent emergency surgery to remove a portion of her small intestine due to the impact of the seatbelt during the crash. Her recovery journey is underway, and the physical and emotional toll is immense. For the past five weeks, Regina has been unable to work, and her path forward remains positive but intense.
Living in South Florida without a car is an immense challenge, especially for a performer who relies on transportation to travel across the tri-county area for work. Before the accident, Regina split her time between Miami and Mexico. Now, she must remain in Miami indefinitely, facing a heavy financial burden while also needing to return to Mexico to collect her belongings.
Your generous contributions will help Regina:
- Cover medical expenses, physical therapy, and mental health support as she heals.
- Offset costs associated with traveling to Mexico to gather her belongings.
- Alleviate the strain of living expenses while she remains out of work.
- Secure reliable transportation, which is essential for her work and independence.
Regina is a bright light in our community, a fierce advocate, and a creative force who has touched so many lives with her performances and activism. Let’s come together to help her heal, recover, and regain her footing during this unimaginable time.
Any amount helps and will make a difference. Please share this campaign with your networks to amplify her story.
Thank you for supporting Regina and helping her through this difficult time.
