Hi, name is Reginald Rucker and I'm fundraising to make repairs to my home which caught fire November 10. For year's I've sheltered the abused and disenfranchised until they could transition to independent living . At the time of the fire, I had six adults staying in my home. It has been a challenge. I did not have insurance at the time of the fire because I simply could not afford it. I am unable to work because of a suspected brain injury and I was waiting until December to collect my social security. All I I have has gone into feeding, and taking care of my residents. My insurance fell between the cracks for a couple of months.

The fire was electrical. The last electrician left twisted pair wiring in use in the walls. This is where the fire originated. The entire house must be rewired. This house is ninety years old and my family has been her for about eighty years. The lap construction will make repairs more costly. The smoke damage through the house is very intense. Most all our clothing was lost and precious family history was lost. We have set about the task of cleaning and removing charged furniture out all week. I am told that the entire house must be rewired and certain seals replaced in order to pass inspection. My HVAC unit is gone.

I will take whatever donations that come in and rebuild under the supervision and direction of several licensed contractors who are generously guiding and working at reduced rates.

Forgive my delay in getting up a funding site but taken a bit to access the scope of this task. The first donation I accepted was understanding. Funds will be used carefully.
