Hello, my name is Reggie. I am a brave survivor of the Eaton wildfires in LA. I was rescued by a fireman and taken to the Pasadena Humane Society where l was nursed back to health and ready for my adoption. Elizabeth and Marianna saw me on a post on social media and couldn't stand my sweetness and looks so Elizabeth went to pick me up.
After a few days of settling in to my new home Elizabeth noticed l was ravenously hungry and couldn't stop drinking water so she took me to the vet. Turns out l was positive for diabetes. They tried to stabilize me with insulin and an adjusted diet but something felt off, l still felt tired and started to get grumpy so l went in for a check up and more blood work. Later that night my blood work tested positive for Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV).
We are really bummed out with these results but we know we can try our best to give Reggie the life he deserves. Even with everything he has gone through he is a sweet and loving boy everyday.
Although Elizabeth works in Veterinary Medicine there are a lot of expenses we didn't predict to happen and yet to come.
Any help is great help, thank you all who have followed his journey and the pasadena humane society that took amazing care of Reggie.
Marianna & Elizabeth
